Vignette of a Afternoon Like Any Other
[The scene is the office as the company prepares to leave for lunch. The Dane, a snappy dresser and all-around good kid, stands outside and awaits a firm decision of a destination for dining. He is approached by the Founder of is company, a forty-something man of distinction, for a brief bit of conversation while we wait.]

FOUNDER
Hey, wow. You're growing your hair out pretty long. I didn't know it was curly like that.
THE DANE
Yeah, well. It gets pretty thick if I don't keep it short.
FOUNDER
Yeah, the way it is now, you remind me of a Greek god.
THE DANE
Uh?
FOUNDER
Yeah, an ugly Greek god.
THE DANE
Uh... thanks.

Vignette of a Morning Like Any Other
[The scene is Starbucks. The Dane, a brash and youthful sort who stays up too late and wakes too early stumbles, puffy-eyed, to the counter where a chipper slinger of caffeinated delectables eagerly awaits.]

SLINGER
Good Morning! And how are you to-day?
THE DANE
Urg. *burble* ...soooooo tired.
SLINGER
Oh? Well you sure look preppy!
THE DANE
Uhm... thanks?

(inner monologue): Preppy?

Vidblog #25: Unmitigated Violence
Let's celebrate! Number 25! I can't believe I've been doing one of these a week for nearly half a year. Sometimes it feels like yesterday. Sometimes I feel like the shark-hopping took places months ago. In any case, this episode is grisly and violent! Think of it as a well-earned reward for all the time, love, and unbridled ridicule you've heaped upon me :-) Oh yeah, you poor saps on dial-up will want to order a pizza and watch a movie while downloading - this one's 5 MB.

[[ rats, there seem to be some sound issues over the net that didn't exist on my hard drive. i've tried to compensate it, but... *sigh* hopefully you'll be able to use your imagination to make everything sound right. I think it has to do with the framerate i'm using on this thing. better luck next time, eh? ]]

Because as we all know, I hate winter.

Among that group of things that could be accurately called, "My Favourite Things to Do to Calendars," there stands alone one great and wonderful thing that can be accruately called, "My Favourite Thing to Do to Calendars." Really, I just like adding word balloons to the pictures to add context to the scene that is playing out before us over the course of the month. Here is this month's effort, straight outta Compton, yo.

And just in case you had trouble reading the text, it says the following:
Girl #1
I just don't know anymore, Sandy. bob's just been so distant lately.

it's like he cares more about his Dig Dug score than mine....

Girl #2 [[ thinking to herself ]]
Well! A little hot tea in the lap will make you forget all about him....
